From the inception of the Baha'i Faith, youth have played an outstanding role as some of the Faith's foremost champions and teachers. The Baha'i community places great emphasis on the moral and spiritual education of youth,

with a focus on providing ongoing opportunities for developing a sense of world citizenship and a lifelong commitment to serve humanity.

Junior youth groups (12-14 years old) meet regularly and study and discuss the themes of the Junior Youth training sequence with an animator (facilitator). They also engage in artistic and extracurricular activities and small

service initiatives. These Junior Youth groups help the youth:

Foster spiritual identity

Create a moral structure for their lives

Empower them to serve humanity
